Envision Flat Panels (DR)
Famous for there C-MOS linear arrays Envision is also sporting a flat panel DR system that incorporates C-mos technology in a variety of dimensions to meet all possible situations
C-MOS differs from Amorphous Silicon by incorporating both the clock circuit and amplifier in each chip. Amorphous silicon panels have the clock circuit and amplifier shared by the whole Y and X rows of pixels so a problem with one is shared by all. Also C-MOS has a 92% fill factor compared to 63% with the Amorphous Silicon detector. Fill factor refers to the active portion of the detector actually capable of detecting photons. This gives better resolution and thus better sensitivity. Flat panels can also be purchased with linear arrays the same as the GW4 system used in pipe weld inspection.
